EMOTIONAL INTELLIGENCE AS A MANAGEMENT TOOL FOR DECISION-MAKING OF DIRECTORS GENERAL OF THE ARMY NATIONAL COMMAND BOLIVARIAN

摘要
This study aimed to evaluate the emotional intelligence and managerial decisions of the directors of the general command of the national army bolivarian. The type of applied research is descriptive, field and correlational study. The population was consisting of 12 from the general command of the Army. The technique for collecting data was the questionnaire of 56 items, Likert scale. Results indicated that principals and heads of units of the army's general command bolivarian have a very good level of emotional intelligence which makes the decision making process for implementing administrative and operational activities. Then there was a correlation of the variables emotional intelligence and decision-making r = 0.92, very high and generated a positive association of the same. Finally, we generated thirty-six strategic guidelines for the application of emotional intelligence as a managerial tool in the decision making process of managers and heads of units of the Army's general command, which will allow "increasing levels of operational army through it at all levels.
