SHELL EFFECTS AND THE MOMENTUM DEPENDENCE OF THE SKYRME INTERACTION

摘要
Using common versions of the Skyrme interaction with spin-orbit coupling omitted, it was found that momentum dependence of the force, i.e., a reduced effective mass, strongly affects the splittings between single-particle levels in different major shells while leaving almost unaffected the level spacings within a single major shell. Hence single-particle levels in the valence shell are spaced as if the effective mass were unity despite the momentum dependence of the force. The different behaviour of intershell and intrashell level spacings is interpreted analytically in the framework of a momentum dependent anharmonic oscillator model. © 1990.
