摘要
This article aims to reflect about the importance of good inventories, private libraries, military books and personal diary, for the study of political history and military culture in Mexico. From concrete cases, we provide the reader with methodological perspectives of analysis that allow deeper understanding of the cultural practices of men who were part of military institutions in the mentioned century. The bibliographical and documentary sources analyzed here come from municipal, notarial and judicial archives of both the capital of the country and the states.
