摘要
The authors compare the mechanical properties and fracture mechanisms of unalloyed tungsten and dispersion-strengthened tungsten (W - Y//2O//3 - HfO//2) in the temperature range 20-2750 degree C. In the temperature range 500-1200 degree C, fracture has a partially tough character involving quasibrittle lamination along the boundaries of grains and subgrains elongated during working. At temperatures of 1200 degree C and higher, tough transgranular fracture is observed, which is succeeded by tough intergranular fracture at 1800 degree C.
