摘要
In the present work we consider the steady flow of a fluid-particle suspension caused by stretching a wall. The equations of motion are reduced to non-linear ordinary differential equations by similarity transformations and solved numerically using least squares finite element method. The flow pattern depends on two parameters, namely, particle loading k and fluid particle interaction parameter-beta. It is observed that the magnitude of the transverse velocity of both the fluid and particle phase decrease with an increase in beta or k. The particle density is maximum at the surface of the plate. The shearing stress increases with an increase in beta or k.
