摘要
The paper studies the causes and risk factors of high suicidal activity among the indigenous peoples of the North. Cognitive risk factors were studied. Comparative characteristics of mental processes in children of indigenous and non-indigenous people living in the Republic of Sakha (Yakutia) was performed. The study revealed that indigenous children have typological features of higher nervous activity, consist in lower mobility of mental processes and right-hemisphere dominance of the CNS function. These features form the basis of a reduced dynamic adaptation of indigenous peoples of the North and their increased vulnerability to social stress.
