摘要
The reduction, on a rotating-lead-disk, of oxalic acid to glyoxylic acid in an aqueous medium is shown to present an inductive character. An oxalic acid reduction mechanism involving an adsorbed species is proposed, made up of two single electron transfer steps and taking into account the concentration diminution of oxalic acid at the interface. Based on a theoretical study of the mechanism behavior, the experimentally observed inductive character is attributed to the concentration impedances of the adsorbed species.
