The excess molar heat capacities CEp,m at the temperature 298.15 K were determined for (chlorobenzene + benzene or toluene or o-xylene or m-xylene or p-xylene or ethylbenzene). The CEp,ms for all mixtures except that with benezene are positive over the whole mole-fraction range. The results indicate that an attractive interaction takes place between chlorobenzene and an alkylbenzene. © 1991 Academic Press Limited All rights reserved.
