REINVESTIGATION OF THE HYPERFINE FIELD DISTRIBUTIONS IN FE-B METALLIC AMORPHOUS-ALLOYS

摘要
We propose a new relation describing the evolution of the hyperfine field as a function of the number of first boron neighbours, accounting for the hyperfine structure of different crystalline Fe-B metallic phases. Then, experimental hyperfine held distributions evidenced by Mossbauer spectrometry on Fe-B amorphous alloys are interpreted in terms of local environments. The average number of first boron neighbours estimated after fitting experimental hyperfine held distribution agrees well with experimental data obtained by X-ray diffraction. It is also demonstrated that the structural models based on random packing of polytetrahedral units are much more adapted to describe amorphous metallic alloys.
