Oxygen contents of oxygen-annealed TlBa2Can-1CunOy (n = 2-4) specimens were determined by iodometric titration. Relationship between T(c) and oxygen content was investigated by quenching experiments. Oxygen vacancy was estimated to be about 3-4% in the oxygen-annealed TlBa2Can-1 CunOy-y (n = 2-4), and T(c) was found to increase with a small oxygen loss of about v = 0.015, independent of n. The average Cu valence of the oxygen-annealed TlBa2Ca3Cu4Oy phase is calculated to be 2.1+, suggesting too low hole number. The hole of the Tl single layer system was suggested to be only in the CuO2 pyramidal sheet.
