摘要
The theory of three types of dynamic light-scattering experiments applied to colloidal dispersions subjected to an external sinusoidal field is presented. The first-order and second-order heterodyne autocorrelation functions for the scattered light are calculated. The classical correlation experiments are compared with the more recent technique of phase analysis light scattering. For the case of electrophoresis of colloidal particles in a sinusoidal electric field, it is shown that determination of the first moment of the change in the phase of the scattered light is preferable to the correlation methods. © 1992.
