摘要：
This paper reviews the timing of aneurysm surgery, endovascular treatment, rebleeding and ventricular drainage, and the effects of subarachnoid hemorrhage on cognitive function and on cerebral blood flow and metabolism. The roles of free radicals, vasoactive peptides, blood components, and mediators of inflammation in the genesis of vasospams are addressed; treatment using free-radical scavengers, calcium modulators, neuropeptide intermediaries of vasodilation, extraluminal thrombolysis and intraluminal dilation are also discussed.
