摘要
Hot isostatic pressing (HIP) is a well established tool in the areas of powder metallurgy and the healing of castings, the use of which is being continually extended into an increasing range of materials processing. A good example of this new technology is the densification of carbon-carbon composites. The general principles, advantages and disadvantages of HIP fabricated carbon-carbon are described along with novel polyaromatic engineering thermoplastic polymer precursors
