摘要
Using a perfluorocarboxylate membrane as a cation exchange membrane, we investigated the effects of pH on the membrane potential in aqueous alkali metal chloride solutions and evaluated the permselectivities of the alkali metal ions and the hydrogen ion. The pH dependence of the membrane potential showed a biphasic behavior. The experimental results obeyed different theoretical curves in the high and low pH regions, so that two permselectivity coefficients were obtained for the alkali metal ions. The selectivities follow the order H+ > K+ > Na+ > Li+.
