摘要：

The defense mechanisms described by the psychoanalysis play an important role for the Spanish press of 1908, 1918 and 1928 in order to recover from the syndrome of 1898. Especially, the psychoanalytic defense mechanisms of repression, regression, isolation, denial, projection, introjection, devaluation and conversion are of particular importance for the Spanish press concerning its process of overcoming the disaster of 1898.
