摘要
A new ordered cubic perovskite Sr2Fe(III)Bi(V)O6 has been prepared under 75 kbar of oxygen pressure at 1000-degrees-C. The lattice parameter determined from powder X-ray diffraction pattern is a = 2a0 = 8.063(2) angstrom. Through Mossbauer and magnetic susceptibility measurements, the antiferromagnetic ordering temperature (T(N)) is estimated to be about 91K which is fairly high considering that such an ordering is reached via superexchange interaction. The magnetic behavior of Sr2FeBiO6 is compared with those of isostructural Fe(III) compounds.
