THE TREATMENT WITH AMITRAZ IN THE DEMODICOSIS IN THE DOG

At the present the use of amitraz is the best way to treat demodicosis in dogs. As our studies show, side-effects are not to be expected. More than 70% of the treated dogs could not becured completely (relapse s. Tabl. 4) after a therapy with amitraz twice a week for about 5 weeks. Therefore it is necessary to treat these patients once a week for another 6-12 month until dermal lesions have definitely resolved.
