摘要
A continuous equation for the friction factor spanning all flow regimes is given. It is based on the intermittency factor concept and on limited published data for near-smooth brass tubes. To represent the intermittency factor, a simple approximation for the probability distribution function has been derived, which should also be useful in other engineering calculations.
