摘要
A new mode of operation has been discovered that permits a laser to operate simultaneously at three wavelengths; two have gain and the third occurs at the sum frequency. A Nd:YAG laser operated in this way generates output at 1319, 1064, and 589 nm. This laser has been mode locked and its dynamics studied.
