摘要
The future of diagnostic electron microscopy is intimately related to the introduction of techniques presently used in basic research, the introduction of new technologies and instrumentation, the availability of expertise, and monetary constraints. It is suggested that a certain degree of centralization of diagnostic electron microscopy is inevitable if one wishes to introduce state-of-the-art technologies and maintain a high degree of expertise.
