摘要
Education for citizenship and human rights involves, among other aims and objectives of the subject, the development of democratic citizenship, loyalty to the rule of law and a participatory political culture. We believe that democratic citizenship can be interpreted in the light of three theoretical frameworks or models of democratic citizenship that involve different democratic exercises. Loyalty to the rule of law involves the development of a political identity, and not only a philosophical, sociological and ethnic identity, and so on, but also, finally, education of democratic citizenship requires the development of a participatory political culture. The aim of this work is to elucidate the above concepts and to analyse how they are treated in specific textbooks on education for citizenship and human rights.
