FILAMENT-WOUND TORISPHERES UNDER EXTERNAL-PRESSURE

摘要：
Two types of back-to-back filament wound torispheres have been analysed. Polar and equatorial winding patterns of pre-preg carbon fibre have been used. Each torisphere has been tested under static external pressure up to failure. The corresponding First Ply Failure pressures were obtained numerically. Comparison of measured data with that obtained from geodesic modelling is also given.
