摘要
This paper describes the preparation and some important properties of microcrystalline cellulose prepared from bleached bagasse pulp. The starting bagasse pulp contained cellulose: 76. 3%, lignin: 0. 18% and ash: 0. 79%. After bleaching, the cellulose content increased to 85%. The MCC obtained was analyzed and the results are given. The results show that bagasse pulp can be a source for the preparation of microcrystalline cellulose. The preparation of MCC from cotton stalk pulp is being investigated.
