摘要
There are many indexes to assess cardiovascular risk. Many of them have been extensively studied and analyzed and it has been clearly established that sociodemographic or clinical factors or healthy habits influence them. In contrast, there are more recent indices, including the ones studied in this work, that have received little attention from researchers and many of their aspects are not known, among them the influence that different variables such as age, sex, social class, level of education, tobacco consumption, diet rich in fruits and vegetables and physical exercise exert on them. The aim of this article was to determine how these variables influence the values of body shape index, visceral adiposity index, cholindex, conicity index and hypertriglyceridemic waist. The results suggest that most healthy habits and socio-demographic variables studied influence the values of all indexes analyzed.
