摘要：

Presented are the results from a geoecological monitoring of natural and anthropogenic changes in the situation in the desert-steppe region of Inner Asia (Great Lakes Depression), based on space images at intervals of 27-30 years, published data, and the authors' ground-based observations. The changes identified in this study are associated with global hydrothermal processes, and with the influence of anthropogenic pressure.
