摘要
Aim: To investigate the effect of pitavastatin on the ratio of serum high-molecular weight (HMW) adiponectin to total adiponectin. Methods: Twenty-four type 2 diabetic patients with hypercholesterolemia were studied before and 12 weeks after pitavastatin treatment (2 mg/day). Results: Treatment with pitavastatin significantly increased the ratio of serum HMW adiponectin to total adiponectin. Conclusions: This data showed the pleiotropic effect of pitavastatin on the serum active form of adiponectin. (C) 2010 Diabetes India. Published by Elsevier Ltd. All rights reserved.
