摘要
The global scenario has been suffering inumerous changes resulting from the globalization process and sucessive appearance of new information and communication technologies. To the organizations, such continuous change cause them to seek the need to invest in human capital. One answer to these transformations is the Corporative Education through Distance Education, in which the organizations found space to meet a large number of people. This expansion is justified by the high costs of the classroom education, and the geographical and time limitations. In the organizations, there is also learning, and the engagement in online activities and the different interactions lead to different kinds of learning that require appropriation of information and communication technologies by the participants. Such learning is linked to digital literacy that requires a new way of being in the world and having relations. The perfect domain to reflect about the alliance of knowledge, learning, and social practice in the workplace is the idea of community of practice (LAVE & WENGER, 2006). This work aims at discussing the interconnection between learning in the workplace and community of practice, seeking to understand how individuals build knowledge through social practices.
