摘要
Channelized receivers are being developed for communications and radar applications. They are needed to intercept, sort, and classify a rapidly increasing density of signals per unit time in the radio frequency, microwave, and millimeterwave regions of the electromagnetic spectrum. These new receivers are required because of the incapability of current receivers to intercept the higher density of signals with a high probability of intercept of each signal. Important parameters that must be considered in developing channelized receivers for the simultaneous interception of time-coincident signals are dynamic range, bandwidth, signal processing capability, size, weight, and power consumption. This paper reviews signal processing needs and capabilities, receiver and channelizer technologies, and recent developments in surface-acoustic-wave, bulk-acoustic-wave, magnetostatic-wave, and acousto-optical channelizer technologies.
