摘要
Numerical solutions for steady flow through axisymmetric, contoured constrictions in a rigid tube are presented, utilizing the full Navier-Stokes equations in cylindrical coordinates. No difficulties in convergence were encountered for Reynolds numbers at which the flow was known to be laminar from experimental observation. The theoretical results are compared with available experimental data, and the relationships to occlusive vascular disease are discussed.
