摘要
Common respiratory tract infections often have a bacterial cause and antibiotics are the appropriate choice of therapy. In order to maximise patient adherence, some antibiotics have been investigated for use at higher dosages for a shorter period of time. These new dosing recommendations may help in reducing non-adherence with antibiotics and may also aid in the prevention of bacterial resistance.
