摘要
A possibility to use mechanical stresses of different types to affect liquefaction of coals has been studied. The results show that mechanical stresses liqueficantly decrease the temperature and rate of the basic decomposition and lower the energetic and chemical stabilities of coals. Mechanical treatment leads to the destruction of relatively large structural fragments, which rises reactivity. Even the short term mechanical activation increases the coal conversation and causes substational alterations in the composition of liquid products of subsequent liquefaction. The effects of mechanical treatment are discussed on the basis of comparison between qualitative and quantitative compositions of liqurfaction products. Mechanical stresses can be applied as one of the technological approaches to intensify the processes of coal liquefaction.
