摘要
The segregation of hydrogen and deuterium to a Zr(0001) surface was studied by nuclear reaction analysis, work function, SIMS and Auger spectroscopy. An apparent critical temperature of 194-degrees-C was determined for hydrogen segregation and hydride precipitation on this sample, for a bulk hydrogen content of 59 appm, well below the solubility limit for bulk hydride precipitation. The apparent H-diffusion coefficient determined from the segregation (1.98 x 10(-14) m2 s-1 at 150-degrees-C) is lower than the bulk diffusion coefficient in polycrystalline Zr by more than 2 orders of magnitude; we postulate that the kinetics are limited by hydride precipitation.
