摘要
A nucleus can be excited by capturing an electron, and the excitation rate can be significant when the nucleus is channeled through a crystal. Several nuclear excitation cross sections are calculated for channeling along the Si [110] axis. The cross sections are in suprisingly good agreement with previous estimates.
