摘要
We extend our previous theoretical study (preceding paper in this issue) of the pressure dependence of the interfacial tension, 嵾(p), between two fluid phases with a planar interface. The theory is applied to pressurized liquid-vapor surfaces. The case of surface-active amphiphiles is treated as a third phase residing at the interface between the two liquids; we predict a change in behavior at the critical micelle concentration. The theory is applied to pressurized liquid-vapor and liquid-liquid surfaces of aqueous surfactant solutions. We also discuss the case of phase separation in micellar and microemulsion solutions. © 1990, American Chemical Society. All rights reserved.
