IONOL INDUCTION OF MICROSOMAL-ENZYMES METABOLIZING XENOBIOTICS

摘要
In vitro effects of ionol induction of mice were examined on kinetic parameters of metabolic transformation of some xenobiotics and endogenous compounds in the microsomes of livers from SHK mice. The induction of the experimental animals with ionol in a dose 250 mg/kg thrice every two days was demonstrated to cause a significant increase in the xenobiotic-metabolizing activity of hepatic microsomes. With this, there was elevated microsomal cytochrome levels, increased rates of oxygen consumption and microsomal generation of radical superoxide. The correlation analysis of a great body of experimental findings made it possible to establish significant correlations between the content of cytochrome P-450 and rates of metabolic nitroheterocyclic compound consumptions and that of microsomal oxidation of adrenaline to adrenochrome.
