摘要：
The bic̀yclic cations 1 and 2 are formed in the reactions of the dimeric arsenium ions 3 and 4, respectively, with 2,3‐dimethylbuta‐l,3‐diene. These cycloadditions can be interpreted as Diels–Alder reactions in which the heteroatom–arsenic bond is formally considered a double bond; the analogous phosphenium ions react differently.
