摘要：

The Le Fort I osteotomy is one of the most commonly performed techniques to correct maxillary dentofacial deformities. The effects of nasal and labial changes after a Le Fort I osteotomy, including widening of the alar bases of the nose have been previously reported in the literaure. This paper briefly describes and step by step presents a modified technique of alar base cinch suture to prevent unexpected changes in the nasolabial region.
