摘要
Decentralized power plants are connected to a grid in compliance with existing rules and standards. Protection of these plants is a challenge for protection engineers. Autonomous islands supplying electrical power are seen from crisis considerations and energy-efficiency efforts as an option to classic electrical energy supplies. The authors demonstrate in this publication, how the protection of decentralized power systems is carried out today. They describe possible implementation options for autonomous islands and show the challenges both in technical and legal aspects for the realization of these islands.
