CHEMICAL POLISHING AND ETCHING OF BI-SR-CA-CU-O HIGH-TEMPERATURE SUPERCONDUCTING SYSTEM

摘要
It has been demonstrated that when ceramics and crystals of the 2201, 2212 phases are dissolved in an alcohol solution containing 0.5-2% Br2, HBr or HCl, the surface is polished and such structural elements as block, grain, twin boundaries and growth steps are revealed, and orientational etch figures are formed. It is shown that after chemical treatment no negative variations of the structure and properties are observed.
