EFFECT OF SOURCE AND LEVEL OF NITROGEN ON GROWTH AND YIELD OF GROUNDNUT (ARACHIS-HYPOGAEA) IN ACID LATERITIC SOILS OF ORISSA

摘要：
A field investigation was carried out during rainy seasons of 1987 and 1988 on acid lateritic sandy-loam soil to find out the optimum level and suitable source of nitrogen for groundnut (Arachis hypogaea L.). The significantly highest pod yield was obtained on application of ammonium sulphate, followed by calcium ammonium nitrate. ne pod yield responded significantly to N application only up to 20 kg N/ha level irrespective of N sources in both the years.
