摘要：

This paper aims to examine the work and the biography of Manuel from the confluence between poetry and history, focusing mainly on a review of the dichotomous approach that has long guided the literary theory. The autobiography of the poet, "Itinerario de Pasargada," is the starting point for this text, which also seeks grants authors as Fabio Lucas, Alfredo Bosi, Richard Tarnas and Couto, among others.
