MIGRATION OF YOUNG PEOPLE IN THE REPUBLIC OF MOLDOVA. STATISTICAL ANALYSIS

Migration is a phenomenon that is inseparable from the social and economic realities in the Republic of Moldova. Young people, the most mobile group from the migration perspective, are exponents of this phenomenon, contributing to the formation of a new social and economic model. Going abroad to study or work is a phenomenon more and more spread among young people, due to two essential factors: the rise of new opportunities, offered by foreign countries and the poor material condition a significant part of Moldova's population has. Aside from foreign migration, many young people migrate from the rural environment to the urban one, thus the weight of young people in the urban environment is bigger than in the rural one, although the number of newborns is net higher in villages.
