摘要:
Inadequate quality of continuously cast slabs has been restricting the use of hot charging in the USSR. An investigation on the quality of continuously cast slabs and the flat products rolled from them was therefore carried out. The results indicate that hot charging of the slabs at a temperature of 550-700-degrees-C would be possible with suitable quality monitoring. Measures for implementing the procedure are indicated.
