摘要：
The use of electron accelerators in radioactive waste inspection and assay is discussed. Examples of electron accelerator driven real time radiography and computed tomography of radioactive waste packages are given. The techniques of active gamma- and active neutron-interrogation are described, particularly the problems associated with their application to large volume encapsulated waste packages. Results of measurements on an experimental combined active gamma- and active neutron-interrogation facility for cemented intermediate level wastes are presented.
