摘要：

Teleconnections are often used as evidence for explaining relations between meteorological phenomena. Here we present the teleconnections of the rainfall of South America in the form of SPI-1, with a variety of standard indexes. The teleconnections with the NINO34 time series are shown to be negative in the north of the continent, and tend to be positive in the south, in agreement with previous studies. The article contains figures that show the geographical extent and size of the teleconnections with these indexes.
