THE IMPORTANCE OF TEACHING PHILOSOPHY IN THE TRAINING OF LAW PROFESSIONALS

Overall, this article is about the academic professional training of law in Brazil. In particular, it examines the relevance or otherwise of the teaching of philosophy in the training of these professionals. The hypothesis set points in the sense that the law cannot unlink from the ethics and politics. For this reason, the very formation of the legal profession must address issues of practical philosophy. Thus, the law cannot be studied only in the purely technical perspective, but also considering their involvement and importance in society. Oriented training only for personal success, especially financial, disregards all search possibilities for justice and social change in the law. For this analysis, which develops predominantly with the inherent speculative method of philosophy, it uses the theoretical contributions of various national and international thinkers. Concludes that the law professional is a human full of possibilities and that potential, from the perspective of philosophy, is not only important in the accumulation of theoretical knowledge, but a knowledge that must be experienced.
