摘要
On the basis of our previous study on barrier-crossing dynamics in a symmetric double-well potential, we investigate fast rate processes corresponding to barrier-crossing dynamics in an arbitrary asymmetric double-minimum potential. The evolution of the rate kernels is determined by a projected Fokker-Planck operator and its spectral properties are studied. This work provides a deeper insight into the nature of fast chemical interconversions.
