摘要
A case of non-immune hydrops fetalis in a 20-year old white female with severe hypertensive disease is presented. Her condition was diagnosed by ultrasound for the assessment of the fetal well-being at 35.1 weeks of gestation, when she was referred from her health area due to blood pressure levels of 160/100 mmHg. On her arrival at the Obstetrics and Gynecology emergency department of the Heroes de Baire Hospital in the Isle of Youth, she had blood pressure levels of 140/90 mmHg and was asymptomatic. Thus, her admission was determined for further studies and treatment. After considering the physical examination and the results of the obstetric ultrasound, it was decided to terminate her pregnancy by emergency caesarean section. A preterm newborn with malformations was delivered. This case is presented due to the rarity of this pathology associated with a severe hypertensive disease which increases the perinatal risks.
