摘要
Time-resolved interferometry is used to measure the relaxation of an optically induced phase change in a semiconductor laser amplifier (SLA). A phase change of pi recovers in similar to 12.5ps. This is proof-of-principle that an interferometric switch using an SLA can be gated at similar to 80 GHz.
