Thermodynamic and phase diagram data in the Cd-Zn system have been reevaluated using more recent data. A set of parameter values describing the excess Gibbs energy of each individual phase was determined with a least squares optimization technique. With the optimized parameters, the thermodynamic functions and the stable and metastable equilibrium diagrams have then been calculated, and compared with the experimental data. © 1990.
